• Each shell is built from precision cut jigsaw parts milled from select boards of domestic and exotic hardwoods (no plies!)
• Each shell contains 32 jigsaw segments
• Each shell is milled to a thickness of 5/8"

Honestly, after having seen some of Rob’s other jig saw drums, I had high expectations for this MDrumz Snare drum. This particular snare drum was beautifully and masterfully crafted using 6 types of Oak boards in a jigsaw pattern. I play a Yamaha Live Custom Hybrid Oak kit on tour, so I was excited that this Oak snare drum would perfectly compliment my kit!
All I can say is it EXCEEDED my expectations!
I was instantly blown away! This snare has a crack that sounds like a shotgun! But even more impressive was the CRACK is evenly matched with a FAT TONE and FAT BODY that gives you everything you want and need out of a snare drum! Ghost notes are clear and articulate, and the snare sounds great tuned hi or low.
Very dynamic, and controlled!
I highly recommend this drum to any drummer or drum enthusiast looking for a unique, handcrafted, full range snare drum! It truly is a work of art!

The character completely changes with different tunings and I’ve literally recorded a funk session where I cranked it up to a nice high ping yet still retained the body and warmth… then the very next session I tuned it down to record a rock track and it was the biggest, fattest snare while still maintaining an incredible CRACK.
At this point in my life I need only play the best, and the MacEachern Jigsaw Snare is my #1 “Go To” snare – live and in the studio.
